Poor Kevin is doomed. We just saw the abysmal "Upside of Anger". When we saw that Joan Allen was in it, we thought maybe the tide had turned for Costner. Alas no.

I see that several of the critiques displayed at rottentomatoes.com disagree with me though: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/upside_of_anger/

I cannot claim to be a huge Kevin fan; still, I liked "Field of Dreams", "Perfect World", "For the Love of ht Game", and "Thirteen Days". Hmm...that's 4 out of 38.

I can't really say that I'm a big Costner fan either. But I really liked "Field of Dreams", "Bull Durham" and "Untouchables".

Then things started going awry. I went against the norm and pretty much loathed "Dances with Wolves" and it seems that everything since then has been really insipid. Costner completely ruined David Brin's book 'The Postman". "The Bodyguard" was horrible. "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" brrrr. "Wyatt Earp" Bleah. "Message in a Bottle" eeewwwwwwww! boo!

I haven't seen "Perfect World", "For the Love of the Game", and "Thirteen Days". Even though you have recommended them, MEF, it's gotten to the point where I think I'm just not going to watch the movie if Costner is in it. (although "Perfect World" was directed by Clint Eastwood... hmmm, maybe)

We re-watched "Thirtreen Days" - it was good the second time around.

Thirteen days is really worth watching. One hardly notices Kevin because the story is absolutely fascinating. Haven't seen the others.
