Re: iPods

I think we should warn kids against walking with ipods the way we tell them to avoid running with scissors. I heard an alarming report on the radio (CBC???) about the higher incidence of deafness as a result of having earphones jammed in the ears. The really scary one was how loud the speakers had ...

Re: Pluto--planet or not?

Pluto is now considered a "dwarf planet" because it has an oblong orbit that overlaps with Neptune's orbit. Pluto cannot clear Neptune from its orbit it gets the ax from planet status. For some reason, I couldn't wrap my mind around this. Why wouldn't Neptune get ousted as well because it...

Re: Yay!! It's fixed...

Rats... Perhaps I should just remove the white option as it isn't working. Silly me... all it was was a missing quotation mark in the coding. White text working again for emergency spoiler if the spoiler button isn't working... which it is. <--- highlight to read

Another book you might like is Birth of Venus by Sarah Dunant. It has the same flavour as The Girl with the Pearl Earring but is more of a mystery. I don't remember much about the cover page. I just finished The Birth of Venus . I enjoyed it; couldn't put it down. Thanks for the double recommendati...

Re: Request for new emoticon

I think a nice black dog with a blue collar would be excellent, maybe wagging its tail happily. Okay, 2 out of 3 on the request... I hope you'll settle for a nice grey dog, MrsBrown. I decided to stop fighting with the font colour change script that is STILL not working and add the dog instead. :yi...

And another nightmare is over... well, until the next upgrade, anyway. :stomp: I have just upgraded the forum to the latest release. As far as I can tell, everything is now ( :ohoh: or not * :ohoh: ) working as it was before. * I know. The colour changer is NOT working. :stinks: I'll try to fix it s...

Queen's Quay Temporary Bikepath

We went for a bike ride along the waterfront on Sunday. We HAD to stop and take photos of the Queen's Quay Temporary Bikepath ! As far as we could tell, car drivers were completely unperturbed by the fact that they had lost two of their lanes. I would love to see this bikepath be a permanent thing -...

Aprons at the Supermarket

In another thread ("colours for dainties") , MrsBrown tried to threadjack... You found aprons at Loblaws? I looked in 4 stores, including Superstore, for aprons as the one I have has a large corner shaped tear in it that's rather difficult to repair. I finally found one at Zellers that's j...

Re: colours for dainties...

Years ago I gave up my quest for soft pink , ivory, or perhaps light beige undergarments. Now I just head for white. Is that because you prefer white? If not, then the manufacturers continue to get the wrong message. Maybe I should start a campaign: _________________________________________________...

Another good place to get biancherie intime is Zellers. Zellers is where I was... I saw the packages with pink, white and grey but I simply refuse to buy the white ones. Even though I could do as you suggested and wash them with red things to make them be not white. I just hate to send a message to...
