Well, rats. It turns out that I can't have a form within a form. So I'll have to move the Webster's Online Dictionary Box to a different spot on the page. Quel drag. Okay. I moved the box WAAAAY down on the page below the submit button for this forum. I'll probably keep playing with the placement t...

The ONLY way I'll agree to playing Monopoly is if I can use the Monopoly board that my great uncle (great great uncle???) hand-made. It has real hotels and houses instead of those ugly little plastic things. edit: I am imagining that I might have fixed the placement of the Webster's Online Dictionar...

placement of the Webster's Online Dictionary Box
In the thread entitled "Do you have obsessions or rituals? (that you will admit to)" , David mentioned that the Webster's Online Dictionary box misaligned in the Preview Screen. (Thank you, David, for pointing this out.) In the same thread, I am imagining that I might have fixed the placem...

[*]I annoy other players during board games because I move their pieces to the centre of the square they have landed on if they put them down off-centre, or worse, touching the border of the square. How could this possibly annoy anyone? How can anyone put their piece anywhere EXCEPT right in the mi...

I calculate the number of letters in words used during a conversation. And I try to break them up into syllables where the number of letters in each syllable is a pattern like 1-2-3-4 or 4-3-2-1 or 1-2-3-2-1. Augh!! Lalalalalalalalala I'm not listening. I'm not listening. (I feel like I could fall ...

For people who do regularly have interesting things to say, I'd much rather visit their blog once in a while than sift through Facebook. So I'm glad to hear you're using your blog again David - I had stopped visiting it. I'm really glad that you are posting to your blog again too, David. And how! E...

Advent 2009
In last year's thread entitled Advent Calendar , I wonder if there will be an advent calendar this year? I am tempted to peek each day, in case elves are dusting out the back work rooms at etherwork.net :jump: Augh!!!!! I was hoping nobody would remember.... I'm not sure if the elves are working or ...

Re: Beethoven's 5th symphony
[quote="CAM"]I guess the orchestra watches for the subtle cues!) [quote] Indeed. But I think the subtle cues may be coming from the :bravo: concert master :bravo: . (Note that we can't really see what the concert master is doing in the video.) I think that particular concertmaster should r...

Beethoven's 5th symphony
I've heard various conductors say that Beethoven 5 is notoriously difficult to start. Here is my personal favourite version! Usuki http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZETc2uprBY He gives a whole new connotation to "notoriously difficult". (I'm particularly impressed with this orchestra. I have...

As for not being allowed to distill, I suspect that the winery would need to be first registered as a distillery and then be taxed and inspected accordingly. Apparently, it's perfectly legal to do the distilling. What's disallowed without a licence is to distribute the distilled product. But the ho...
